I have had swelling inside my vaginal canal that occurred after my period. My husband and I are faithfully married with no STD's and I have no pain, discomfort, or strange discharge (no odor either). Because there is no pain, I don't know if a trip to the doctor is neccesary and I am in a different country and have yet to find a doctor. Any ideas?

It could be yeast infection although yeast usually shows outer symptoms like swelling of the labia, redness, itchiness, or flakiness. It also causes yellow, smelling discharge.

Your swelling could be due to bacterial vaginosis, which is not an STD just an overgrowth of the vaginal bacteria.

Both of these conditions need treatment, so now it would be a good idea to get yourself a gyn.

ive had this discharge for a while now. I havent been to the doctors because my mother thinks im just messing around with her. It comes and gos but it never gos away completely. But when it is there its alot! it doesnt itch! it doesnt do anything to my vagina. Its also there at times when im on my period. Its white and clear and sometimes thick and there is no smell! and during intercourse at times the discharge is left on my partners penis.
i really need help! ive had it for a long time! what should i do!? or should i say what is it?

I had the exact same thing and I can tell you what my doctor said: she said that it meant I was excessively fertile. After I started birth control (that later got upped to a slightly higher dosage) the discharge minimized significantly, although at times it is still there.

Hi There.
I was experiencing similar circumstances only It caused painful sex for me. I am happily married no STD's or infection. After a year of upsetting trips to the Doctor with no help. I realised as soon as I came off the contraceptive pill that the pain and swelling went away. I spoke to the Doctor about this and it turns out I am allergic to it. I am now pain free, having great sex, and even happier after the arrival of my daughter. Hope this helps anyone else as I wished someone could have told me.

God Luck.
