I have severe knee pain and I already tried various treatments but with no long term success. I’ve heard about the vagus nerve stimulation therapy and I would like to know how it works and can I treat my knee with this. I am 18 years old, male and knee pain is from the sport injury.
The Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy System is indicated for use as an adjunctive therapy in reducing the frequency of seizures in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. As I understood from the article I’ve read VNS Therapy System treatment has not been established for stimulation of the right vagus nerve or of any other nerve, muscle, or tissue, so I suppose that you can’t treat knee pain with this. However, I am not a doctor nor I have experience with VNS Therapy, so you have to ask physicians about it.
