very bad dandruff or somthing worse on scalp, how can i get rid of it?!

hello im a 16 year old girl and i have very itchy scaly scalp. i dont think its actually dry just very itchy and scaly. my dad also has the same problem and has never gotten a solution to it and im just wondering how i can get rid of this or is it even possible? all over my scalp i get very thick scaly white stuff on it and when i scratch it theres alot of flakes, it also starts bleeding if i scratch it much. iv had this problem all my life and so has my dad, we have both gone to a dermatologist about it and all they tell us to do is use some medicated shampoos and we have tried so many diffrent ones, none of them seem to help much at all. its really annoying having to itch it so much and the flakes r kinda embarrasing. does any1 know of a solution?

I've got the same problem! My head gets really ichy, and sometimes bleeds. It starts to get crusty, and is almost like a scab! It's disgusting to think about, but you can't see it through my hair, you can only feel the little bumps. What should I do? Confused
