very short period; could i still be pregnant?

I've been on the pill for over a year now and my periods have never been that long, usually 3 or 4 days of not too heavy flow. This week however, my period seriously lasted about a day, maybe 2 at the max. and it was very very light and was more of a brown color. was that really my period?
I did have sex with my partner about a week ago, is there anyway that it wasn't my period at all and that i could be pregnant?

Yes you could be. This is what happened to me. Lighter "period" I was pregnant!
