I am 5'4", 110. Same problem. It's annoying as $h*t. It's better when I do pilates. I also have a history of bad posture that I try to work on.

Question I don't get it! I'm the same way! I'm 98 pounds and 5'3! I'm super skinny. and then all of the sudden I have this huge stomach! I always have to suck it in and it gets really uncomfortable. and when I bendover I can't suck in easily so everybody is like "woah, where did that come from?" It hurts, it really hurts because they say stuff like "omg, ewww. why do you have rolls when you bend over and your super skinny when you stand up". It really hurts me! I need ideas! Embarassed

Hey, I have the same problem, i'm 5'7'' and 107lbs.
I have had this problem for YEARS and I could never figure it out, because when I would get sick and not eat for a couple days it would go away! So maybe it's just because we're so skinny and our stomachs get full and they have nowhere to go but out? But I have also had horrible posture for all of my life so that could be contributing to it.

I'm not sure if this applies to you all,
but if you are malnourished (which could be the case if you are recovering from anorexia) than it could be just that you aren't eating very well for yourself. This would cause your stomach to bloat out no matter how skinny you are.

this link might work.
I'm not sure if I helped, but I tried!

I have your solution, it works its very hard and i need to start doing it again and keep at it hardcore. I have exactly the same problem as all of you, im in very good shape im about 5'9 160 pounds or so give or take water weight. But from what ive found out its your transverse abdominals wich hold these sagging guts in, its also a result of bad posture creating looser muscles to just sag and do nothing but be there. I suggest you all read up on it and take natural water weight reduction pills to reduce bloating. This is all just an opinion of course and its been like this BEFORE i did body building so keep yoru smart ass comments to yourselves you "proffessionals".

If you are all so underweight you could be suffering from malnourishment like you see in little African children. I would suggest that if you are really worried to increase the amount of protein and healthy fats in your diet and contact your local doctor/nutritionist or nurse at a local health clinic.

PostPosted: 01/05/08 - 13:40    Post subject: It's your Omentum Reply with quote

As we all know people gain weight in different areas of their body more easily. As with myself, some people put on weight in the omentum. This is a fat store that "rides" along the small intestine. It is responsible for the typical beer gut that seems to be firm; and this is so because the omentum is under the muscle layer. Exercise and diet. That is probably just fatty tissue; you can lose it. Furthermore, the weight on the stomach can pull on the ligaments attaching and holding many of the internal organs to the upper spine. Use your muscles to hold your gut in ALWAYS, 100% of the time, esp. when sitting, and it will become involuntary with time, and easier as you lose weight.

Also, this might be a result of the poor (slouched) posture. This can lead to back pain so if that may be a factor, fix it now. Here are some links:

PostPosted: 01/05/08 - 13:46    Post subject: Bloated Stomachs Can Be Sexy Reply with quote

On women, a slightly protruding stomach can be sexy. According to me, more sexy that a set of extremely rock hard abs. Too hard. Women are at their best when they are soft and round, but in good health and shape.

If you are in good shape and healthy, the protruding stomach can work in your favor; don't hide it.
