vicadin addiction recognition

I use vicadin as a painkiller. I heard that substance present in that medication causes addiction. How would I recognize addiction? Do you know something about drug addiction recognition? What is the ingredient that causes addiction in vicadin?

I know a person that had vicodin addiction disease. Symptoms are very bad and can be compared with narcotic dependency. Addiction is caused by hydrocodone that belongs to group of narcotic pain killers. You should try with non narcotics; there are some same potent as vicodine is. Signs of vicodine addiction are just like the signs of drug dependence.
