waiting to ovulate

Hi I am into my forth month of trying to conceive after the pill, i have not yet ovulated but have had three withdrawl bleeds one at 28 days , 37 dyas and 46 days, i am now at day 18 and on day 16 i had egg white mucas but only for that day i have had pains inside my lower hip but now day 17 and 18 i am only getting sticky mucas or next to nothing, my cervix iss high and i have done urine ov tests everyday and they have all been negative. Is it possible to get egg white mucas and not ovulate??
im really confused thanks still getting pains now mainly in left side
