warts or spots after having tatoo done on back

my husband has had a large tatoo done on his back and he is now coming out in some sort of spot or boil his artist has told him they are japanese warts or boils can you help thanks jane thorpe.

I just went to the doctor for an irritating red sore like bump on the inside of my thigh. It turns out it's a boil (thank god!). She drained it (ECK!) and gave me an antibiotic.

The antibiotic is important becase it's a skin infection which can turn into a blood infection. My 21 year old cousin died form blood poising this past Dec. from an infected zit on the back of his neck. No kidding. I'm serious. GO TO A DR.!!

hey jane, It's pretty hard to say what you husband's back is without seeing it. Depending on his healing process it could be anything from clogged pores to heat blisters. As a tattooist, my best suggestion for you is to let the tattoo dry out and see if the blister will go away... do not pop or mess with it, it will only make the problem worse. After it dries out, use a non scented, water based lotion such as lubriderm. Hope this can be of some help and I hope your husbands back turned out well.
