Hello! I am four months pregnant and I have already started gaining weight. This terrifies me! I can’t stop thinking about how on earth will I get my weight back considering my slow metabolism. I am trying to find the best suitable diet for the post pregnancy period and I would appreciate if any of you mommies had any advice for me!
Hello! I know how weight gain can be frustrating but I have only one thing to tell you now. Relax, and don’t torture yourself. Try to stay healthy and calm for your child’s sake. Stress won’t do anybody any good. However, I will give you some more advice. You need to have realistic expectations about how long it takes to lose weight. About 1-2 pounds per week would be ok! No specific diet has been proven to be more safe or effective than any other. You should try to lose the weight on your own by eating a sensible, balanced diet. If you are breast feeding you mustn’t starve yourself. You must exercise every single day, even if that exercise is just walking. The lack of exercise is what often holds up the process. What you need to do now is relax and try enjoying your pregnancy as much as possible. This is the only way you will help yourself and your baby!
