I was wondering if weight loss or the inability to gain weight after a tubal ligation is something that has been brought up before or if it is a possible side effect. I read several articles that described weight gain. I had a tubal ligation in sept. of '04 I was of a healthy weight , but since then my weight began dropping drasticly, within 3 months I lost 38lbs. At first I was really happy but thought nothing of it. Since then I am down to 128lbs. and it doesn't seem to matter what I eat I can not get over 130lbs. I am sure for some people that would be great, but for me it is quite alarming. I have to eat large amounts just to sustain 128.
Thank you for your time,

Thats strange because I have my TL in 2005 and I have gained massive weight my once perfect 153 lb figure is not 181 lbs I'm bloated all the time and suffer from heart pats sweats and head aches
I've been experiencing the same thing. However, I was overweight to begin with, so in my case it's a good thing so far. I've never been able to lose weight, but since my tubal, it's been falling off. I've lost 25 pounds in the last 3 months. Part of it is my lack of appetite now. I also can't seem to get a good night's sleep since my tubal.

This is exactly what happens to me. No matter how much I eat I cannot gain even two pounds. Some people would like that, but not me. I am feeling weak.
I am 23 years old and I just had a tubal about 2 1/2 weeks ago. and I have lost 10 pounds. I just don't have an want for food. The thought of it makes me nausiated. This is strange never had this issue. The weight loss is good but a little scary as well!
Same thing here I got my done....July 2007 and by end of May 2008 i went from 215 to 155....which is good for me.....but since this side effect has never been noticed amongst a large mass of women who have had this procedure done it also makes me a bit worried!
