weight loss leading to anorexia?

Hi, I am 34 years old female and I have decided to go on diet few months ago. I was satisfied as I lost 10 pounds since than and my figure looked better. Yesterday I have met my very good friend and tell her that I am so happy because of my weight loss but she told me to be careful as it may lead to anorexia. I would like to know if such thing is really possible.

Hi, I don't think you are in danger to suffer from anorexia as 10 pound in few months is not much. However you would be careful with weight loss and not to exhaust your organism. Some greater losses of weight and hungering of organism may lead to anorexia. Good parameter of proper body weight is body mass index which shows relation between body weight and height.
