weight loss pills causing paralisys?

I have a dear friend of mine in l who's mother was affected by total paralysis except to the fact that she knows what is going on as a normal person, she can only blink her eyes as means of communication. cannot eat nor move a muscle from the neck down cannot even smile.
she was all normal till she wanted to loos weight via some pills. she took them pills for about a month the the doc adv to take a little more to loos weight faster as she was preparing for her son's wadding. she did not make the wadding she was already paralyzed from neck down..

is there anything that can be done to bring her back to normal? and what might have happened that cause her to loose muscle/nerves from the neck down?

I sincerely appreciate any feed back as I really would like to help them on this research.

Hi rafael, I do not know of any sort of pills that would cause that sort of side effect, even if they were not effective. I don't know of any drugs that cause total paralysis. Do you still have the pills?
