what abortion actually is..

Hai. i was just surfing in the internet, i just wanna know more about abortion in medical pint of view.

If a doctor suggests a mother to have an abortion because the condition of the mother/ the foetus in risk (physically disabled in future), will it be better to take the abortion or not?

please explain it to me. Thank you very much Smile

i don't think it would be right to have an abortion based on the fact that there may be a problem later on.
i have several friends who were told to abort as their babies would have down syndrome. they didn't, and every single baby was perfect!
i don't think it is our right to take the life of a human being anyway.

This is a double edged sword. To some, any child is perfect. To others, to allow a child to suffer because of some deformity (not Downs) is another. The expense and work in raising a special needs child is extremely difficult both financially but emotionally, physically, and mentally.

NOWADAYS we have accurate prenatal testing and amniocentesis, so they can say for 99% certianty that a child would have Down syndrome.

A woman has a CHOICE, she can certainly choose to not follow medical advice, and that is 100% okay.

Some women do not mind raising a special needs child, while others cannot afford the often catastrophic medical bills.
