what antibiotics effect Oral Contriceptives

im just curious as to which antibiotics or perscription medication may have an effect on the oral contriceptive. i would just like to know to keep myself further protected from an accident happening.

i got my wisdom teeth pulled and they gave me amoxacilin for infection and vikoden for the pain, i know amoxacilin effects the O.C. but how about the vikoden?

Vicodin does not affect birth control. =)

Amoxicillan and any form of the penicillian family will lower the effectiveness of any birth control pill. They even give you a warning when you receive the prescriptions, read what you are provided.
