I am 60 yrs. old and and ever since I was a small child my bowl movement has averaged once every 5 or so days. Over the years I have asked many doctor's if this is a problem, since many people I know go at least once a day. I have been told that some people, like myself, have bowl movements less frequently and that it is not a problem. Unfortunately, on some occassions this can be painful. My last colonoscpy was 5 years ago and i was diagosed as completely healthy. Is my condition normal?
