what are my treatment options?

Hi, I am 42 years old male and I had tumor on thyroid gland. Tumor is pretty big and it is making pressure on the other structures in my neck. I am very worried because of that and also scared from operation. I would like to know what my treatment options in such situation are.

Hi, there are few options in treating tumors. Large tumors may be treated by chemotherapy or radiation therapy in order to shrink tumor and after that it may be surgically operated. However if doctor's prediction is different he may decide to remove tumor and after that to give you chemotherapy to prevent possible spreading of cells which may remain.
