Hi. Non-epileptic seizures, or just seizures, can be described as sudden, short events when person under attack is not aware of where he or she is or what is going on. There are many causes of non-epileptic seizures. Low blood sugar, or so called hypoglycaemia, can be the cause of NES. Brief change in your heart can cause a seizure. Some people have both, epileptic and non-epileptic seizures. Some non-epileptic seizures have a physical cause, and some have a psychological cause. The example of physical cause is fainting, and the example of psychological cause is a panic attack. There are many other psychological causes of non-epileptic seizures, such as bereavements, divorce, abuse, etc. Stress can also be the cause of his problem.
