| Lower than if you had unprotected sex while ovulating, however pregnancy is still a possibility. |

| If you have unprotected sex on the first day of your period then the chances of becoming pregnant are very low, as pregnancy occurs when the nucleus of a sperm fuses with that of an ovum. This has to occur while the female is ovulating, and ovulation generally occurs around the 14th day of the 28 day menstrual cycle. There is still a risk of becoming pregnant, however, as many women ovulate at different times and, depending on the conditions inside the vagina (such as temperature and pH, or acid levels), sperm can live inside the female for up to 7 days. Thus, pregnancy, while extremely rare, can occur from unprotected sex during a female's period. |

hi, your information was useful but im just making sure so i hope you dont mind me asking.
i got my period last night at around 8pm and me n my boyfriend had unsafe sex at about 11pm n he released sperm in me, what are the chances of me getting pregnant?
if this helps, im a teenager and my period cycle is usually 28 days but this time it was 21 days
