| Can you please, tell me what the side effects of clonidine are? I got it prescribed from my doctor and I am about to start taking it. I had problems with other medications for high blood pressure, before and it made me worry. Thank you for any information you may offer. |

| Most common side effects of clonidine are allergic reaction (inability to breath, swelling of mouth, lips, tongue, and throat), very slow heart rate (less than 60 per minute), unusually blood pressure (headache, redness of face, neck and chest and fainting), etc. If you notice any of those symptoms, go to first hospital or ER. |
