| My stepson has been having tics for a little over a year now. At first it was just blenking alot, then just in the past 6 months he has had other tics. His teachers have done some test on him because they think he has ADD. If he does have TS and ADD would the ADD meds help him with his tics. I have noticed when he goes to his mothers for the weekend and has a "bad weekend" with her it is worse. The doctor said that it was his nerves and to take him to a thearpist and we did that does not seem to be working. I would like to have more information about this. Thank you |

My cousin started becoming withdrawn about August 2006 and making rocking movements. we thought it may just be something to do with her having downsyndrome but she started to tick, violently shudder and jump and make terrible sounds with her throat when ticking.
She now sleeps non stop and ticks throught the night. She has started to swear but under her breath and seems to be having absencess's 'when you talk to her she doesn't respond. Her condition seems to be so different to others I have read about. Do you think it could be TS. we seem to have lost her to this condition. |

| I have a 7 yr old daughter. Last year, for a few months, she continuously cleared her throat. It finally went away. Then she had the eye blinking thing for awhile. Now she has the head twitching. Should I seek treatment now or do I have to wait until she has had one of these tics for a year? |

| I was diagnosed with turret syndrome in 2003, and all that happens in my life is getting picked on by people and family. It is a horrible life, turrets for me causes suicidal thoughts at time. |
