Hello! I am going to have angiogram done two days from now. This would be first time for me. I am not afraid but I am not crazy about needles much. Anyway I would like to know how it feels. What can I expect? Thanks.

Hi! Don’t worry much about it. Although some people feel a stinging pain while the needle is in the vessel, you may feel nothing at all from the angiogram needle puncture or you may feel a brief sting or pinch as the needle goes through the skin. Many people do not feel any pain. The injection of pain medication may sting briefly, but Let your doctor know if you are uncomfortable so additional pain medication can be given. I have had angiogram once, it is ok, you’ll see.
