Hello! Polyps are extra tissues that grow inside the body. There can be colon polops, cervical, rectal, bladder, uterine, and endometrial polops. Most of them are benign - not cancerous. . But over time, some types of polops can turn into cancer and larger polyps could someday become cancer or may already be cancer. Doctors always remove polops to test them. Anyone can get polops but certain groups have more predispositions to polops. Those who are over 50, those who had polops before, and where it runs in the family.
