What cause ringworm? Is it parasitic infection? Is it contagious? I heard that it affects hands and feet. What’s that worm like?

It’s not worm at all. Ringworm is caused by fungi. A friend of mine had skin lesions caused by that kind of fungi, called tinea corporis. It’s highly contagious. I think that he used cream called lotrimin ultra. I remember because it required long term therapy.
