Hi. I have vaginal candidiasis and it is really bothering me. I can`t stand the itch. What could be the cause of my problem? Is this a STD? What do I use for yeast infection? Help!
Hi. Vaginal candidiasis is not a STD. At least I think so. Persistent yeast infection could be an early sign of AIDS. A friend of mine has candidiasis in his mouth and he said it was caused by trauma. Anyway, treatment includes vaginal creams, such as miconazole and clotrimazole. Cranberry juice and yogurt may prevent the occurrence of yeast infection. Chronic infections are usually caused by inadequate treatment.
