what do i do when i get my period while taking the reminder pills?

when i get my period while starting the reminder pills, do i stop those & use the active pills or just continue them until i finsh & then start the actives? i'm confused because it says to start the actives the first day of your period

You start a new pack when your reminder pills are all gone.

You only start the 'active' pills on your period when you FIRST BEGIN USING THE PILL.
