My mother has been diagnosed with colon cancer. She is 67 years old and it was decided that part of the colon removal would be the best course of action. Also, doctors decided for her to take domperidone in order to prevent possible vomiting post op. I need to know what does black box warning for droperidol mean?

Droperidol blocks dopamine receptors in the brain and in this way stops the vomiting. It also affects CNS (depression), so it causes sleepiness, sedation, extra pyramidal unwanted side effects, and inability to drive a car. This is all black box warning for droperidol. I hope that hings are somewhat clearer now.
