It completely depends on the kind of discharge. There's normal discharge and abnormal discharge. Normal discharge is clear or slightly milky in color and odorless. Abnormal discharge is cream, gray, or other colors, and smells like bread, too sweet, foul, etc.
Normal discharge is caused by a healthy vagina. The vagina should always stay moist. Excessive normal discharge is usually caused by ovulation and can sometimes be caused by pregnancy.
Abnormal discharge is caused by yeast infections, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. |

If the discharge is from a urinary tract infection and it goes untreated, it could be serious. However, if you're worried about your own discharge and it's been this long, you probably don't have it.
If it's from a sexually transmitted disease, it's possible it could be fatal. It depends on the disease. However, most are very treatable.
If you're worried about discharge, go to the doctor. Chances are it's something minor, like a yeast infection. |
