what is burkitts and the symptoms or what it affects? Is there something that sounds similar?

Friend has burkitts not sure if right spelling says she is always tired and lost 25 lbs. was in hospital for two months but not a short terminal disease. Her grandma died from same disease. Said she was low on iron and other minerals.
