Hi! I talked to my friend ( age 23 ) who is a mom by the way and she told me that her daughter developed something called chelitis and that she is using some topical nystatin- of course I got nothing of this except that it had something to do with the mouth. I am interested in what this may be! Is there anybody who knows? Thx

Cheilitis is no biggy, my daughter develops it usually in the cold weather. It is just dryness and cracking of the corner of the mouth. My daughter says that it also burns sometimes. I took her to a dermatologist first and she told us to get this same nystatin you mentioned. Now when this happens, I don’t even take her to a doc anymore. I just apply this cream and forbid her to lick it with her tongue.
