what is hyrdro codeine?

Hi, can you please tell me what hydro codeine is? I found that bottle in my sons room and since I am single parent, I have no one else to ask. Is hydro codeine some elicit drug? Is my son on drugs? How should I know if he is on drugs? I always thought that such things happened to other people.

Hydro codeine is opioid analgesic and antittusive (drug against cough). Your son is probably abusing this medicine. However, if he was seek recently, that medicine could be prescribed for the cough. If you want to know the truth, best thing you can do is to talk to your son. Every strange behavior can be a sign of drug abuse.
