what is myopathy

Hi, yesterday I have found very interesting article about myopathy in newspapers. I was deeply touched by sad destinies of these people who are struggling against this severe disease. They will to live and to survive in spite of all difficulties impressed me the most. I would like to know something more about this.

Hi, my father is suffering from myopathy so I feel free to tell something about this disease. It may be hereditary or caused by some medication or toxin. Main characteristic is weakness which affects different muscle groups. Because of that it may cause different levels of invalidity at such patients. There are no proper medications for this disease so physical therapy and supportive therapy are still basic help which these patients may get.
