what is optimal behaviour with type 1 diabetes?

Hi, my friend is 22 years old suffering from type 1 diabetes. It's been diagnosed several days ago and I was very unpleasant surprised. His doctor told him that he would have to change some living habits so I would like to know what is optimal behavior with type 1 diabetes? Thank you.

Hi, as his doctor said there are some things which have to be changed in every day's habits. People with this type of disorder have to exercise but also rest enough. They have to controls blood sugar level few times per day. Also drinking and cigarettes have to be restricted. Insulin injections have to be administrated few times per day.
