Hi, I need to know what is the earliest a child starts to suffer from ADHD? My boy is hyperactive, but when can it be diagnosed?

Hi, it is not recommended to have it diagnosed before the age of 6 or 7. Since, having a short attention span and acting impulsively, is quite normal in preschoolers and kindergartners it can not be said with certainty if a child has ADD. And the children are changing so rapidly during these years. Consulting a pediatrician should therefore, not come too early. It may be suggested for your child to assess a kindergartner or even a preschooler, in order to learn to stick his attention to learning. This will provides child’s progress and sense of self-respect.
