white bumps on tonsils...what could it be?

I have this white bumps on my tonsils, and I wouldn't say they hurt but they feel weird when I try and swallow. I can feel them there when I'm not doing anything and it drives me crazy. In some places they are just one small one by its self and in others its like a big glob of them. I had a sore throat so I thought I would take a look at my tonsils and see if I saw anything...and I did. Anyways, If you have any idea of what this could be please let me know.
