Hi, my mother is 67 years old and she had problems with her kidneys for a long time. She often had infections of her kidneys in the past. Last week she felt very sick so I took her to the hospital where renal failure was diagnosed. I would like to know why renal failure occurs.
Hello, there are many reasons which may cause renal failure. In your mother's case it may be chronic infection which lasted for some time. Such infection may cause inflammation of kidney tissue which will lead to the renal failure after some time if not cured. Also some medications may cause failure and it may be amfotericin B, ibuprofen and immunosuppressive medications.
