| I also have lost outer edge eyelashes on right eye which is noticeable. I did see my eye doctor for a general eye exam and he noticed it also. He told me to wash my eyelids and lashes twice a day with baby shampoo. I hope this works and hope they will grow back. |

First off, I'd like to say how surprised I am that so many of the TTM sufferers on here are very young. I'm 20 and have always had some sort of tic, be it pulling at scabs, poking at zits/blackheads, and now it's pulling hair. It's never been bad up until recently, and I realized it had become a problem when, after class one day, I looked in the mirror and realized that during the course of an hour I had fully removed the outer half of one eyebrow, severely thinned the other, and removed most of the upper eyelashes on one eye and a good chunk of the other.
It's really awkward. I'm going to go invest in some fake lashes today...I've been able to disguise it day-to-day until the lashes grow back with eyeliner, but I have a modeling shoot coming up and being lashless will not fly.
I'm glad to know there's a name for this tic and that I'm not the only nutter ripping away at my facial hair. |
