so i just recently started having sex with my boyfriend and i am taking birth contol pills and have been for a while... i am also taking levothyroxine which is a thyroid pill.. will my thyroid medicine effect my birthcontrol and make it not as effective??

Have you started taking bc pills on your own or were they prescribed by your gyn? BC pills shouldn't be started without proper examination and you need to report your doctor that you are taking levothyroxine. This is specified on the bc pills' labels.

Doses may need to be changed because this way one of the drugs may not be effective (enough).
