would the loestrin contraceptive pill be known to put weight on women?

i'm on the contraceptive pill called loestrin, would that pill be known to be on to put on a while lot of weight or prevent me from losing weight as quick as someone who isn't on the contraceptive pill because i'm finding it awfully difficult to lose weight?

Well it is said that bc pills don't make us gain weight but retain water. This is what's causing all the trouble!!!!
