xanax for help with withdrawals

would xanax be good to come off oxycontin, i know xanax is addicting also, but i'm trying to lower my oxy levels taper off, so withdrawals wont be as bad. I am bipolar and i really do need xanax they do help me but i do need to get off oxy. I'm trying to find a dr, that would prescribe xanax, any suggestions??[/b]
