xopenex reaction

Hello. My son is ten years old and he has just begun using xopenex for treating bronchospasm. He is using it for two weeks now, but sometimes, it looks like it isn’t doing anything. I believe that my little boy have reaction on this xopenex. He seems a bit nervous when he is using it. Temporary he has stopped with using xopenex. Should he stop using it at all? Thanks.

If your son is having a reaction on xopenex, you should report it to your health care provider. Xopenex can have some serious side effects. It can cause temporary increase in heart rate, tremors, or nervousness. It can also cause a counter - effect - narrowing of the airways. Take him to the doctor and let him reevaluate the course of treatment. There are patients that are not suitable for xopenex.
