zofran pregnancy addiction

I am 25 weeks pregnant. I am taking Zofran for 4 months 3 times a day. Last three weeks I started to taper down, half one of the doses at the bed time, and since then I fell something like arrhythmia. I am afraid that is might be caused from withdrawing the Zofran. Is it possible that I am addicted to it?

I think that is slight possibility that you are addicted to Zofran. It is a drug that works on the receptors for serotonin in the brain and in the peripheral organs of the body such as the intestines and the heart, so what you had experienced is one of the withdrawing effects of drug not addiction. I think that this will straight out by itself, it is important that you don’t panic; there is not zofran pregnancy addiction.

I am 22 weeks pregnant and I have been on Zofran since I was 9 weeks pregnant. I have tried to not take it but i cannot eat without it. If I do not take it and I eat I will begin to vomit. I feel nausous without it! I have seen that they day there is no addiction to this drug but I am beginning to think otherwise!
