Login and Registration Issues
Why can't I log in?
Have you registered? You have to register in order to log in.
Have you been banned from the board? If you have, you will receive an email.
If you registered and you’re not banned, and you still cannot log in, please double-check your username and password. This is usually the problem. If you are sure you are entering the correct username and password but can still not log in, contact the board administrator.
I cannot see the visual confirmation code AKA captcha
Why do I need to register at all?
Registration is not obligatory. However, registration is free and becoming a Steadyhealth member will give you access to features that are not available to guest users.
Registration only takes a minute and gives you access to private messaging, friending other members, emailing fellow members, user group subscriptions and other benefits.
How to choose a username?
Please choose your username carefully. If you want to stay anonymous, please do not choose your real name or your email as a username. Use a pseudonym or a nickname.
Why do I get logged out automatically?
If you want to stay logged in, please check the "Log me in automatically“ box before you press the “log in” button.
However, we do not recommend this if you’re accessing SteadyHealth from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, or university cluster.
I've lost my password!
We protect your privacy, so we cannot access information about your password.
However, you can reset your password. Go to the login page, click on the link “Help! I forgot my password!” and follow our instructions.
I registered but I cannot log in!
There are three possible scenarios:
Are you sure you are entering the correct username and password?
Did you click the I am under 13 years old link while registering? If so, you will have to follow the instructions we sent to your email address.
Did you activate your account? After registering on our boards, you will have to complete the registration via link that we sent you to your email address. If you haven’t received the activation email, please contact our administrator.
I registered in the past but cannot log in anymore!
Did you enter the correct username or password? If you are not sure, please check the email that we sent you when you registered.
Maybe our administrator deleted your account because you haven’t posted anything? Boards tend to remove members who haven't posted anything periodically, and SteadyHealth is no exception. Please register again and get involved in discussions.
It's been a few hours already and I haven't received an activation link. What do I do?
Please resend the confirmation link to your email.
Why didn't I receive a confirmation email?
There are a few possible reasons:
Did you enter a wrong email address during the registration process? Please contact us.
Did you accidentally delete your confirmation email? Please contact us.
Has your ISP or personal AntiSpam system blocked emails from us? Please put our domain @steadyhealth.com in your white list and you will receive emails from us.
Why did the confirmation email end up in my junk (spam) box (for Hotmail/Yahoo/Gmail users)?
Most free email services have very strict AntiSpam systems, and they usually block almost all emails except those that are white listed and those you were in contact with earlier.
Please Go to your Junk box, restore the email from SteadyHealth and you will be able to receive emails from us directly in your inbox.

How do I change my rank?
Member ranks depend on the number of posts a member contributes. You can increase your ranks by writing more posts. Please do not abuse the boards by posting unnecessarily just to increase your rank.
Below you’ll see the ranks associated with the number of posts:
151 – 175
175 – 200
201 – 250
250 – 500
> 1000 posts
> 2000 posts
> 5000 posts
> 7500 posts
> 10000 posts
We also have special ranks - for example, administrators, moderators, authors and health experts have a special rank.
I cannot edit/delete my posts. Why?
Many members feel they should edit or delete their posts once they receive their answers, even though other members have joined and participated in the threads in question. Because of this, the discussion board staff has decided to disable the edit/delete option for regular discussion board members because they feel editing and deleting such posts is disrespectful to other discussion board members. Only a moderator or an administrator can edit or delete a post.
Will I be notified about the replies I receive?
Yes, if you choose so.
If you are registered, decide how often you would like to receive notifications (Profile/ Edit profile/ Notifications).
You can also choose to be notified about replies directly on the topics you participate in.
I would like to write articles. What do I do?
It means you have not been permitted to write articles on the board yet. In case you would like to contribute your unique article on the board, you should contact an administrator for approval.

Why was my post deleted?
Our moderators delete double posts, off-topic posts, questions that have already been answered many times, advertising posts, and rude or offensive posts.
How do I know if I have received an answer to my post?
If you are a member, you will receive notifications on the SteadyHealth timeline in your profile.

I cannot send a private messages!
There are three reasons for this; you are not registered and/or not logged on, the board administrator has disabled private messaging for the entire board, or you don't have enough posts to have the PM system enable. If it is the latter, try posting in our discussion boards first.
I keep getting unwanted private messages!
In the future we will be adding an ignore list to the private messaging system. For now, though, if you keep receiving unwanted private messages from someone, inform the board administrator. They have the power to prevent a user from sending private messages altogether.
I have received a spamming or abusive email from someone on this board!
