I am trying to get off oxycontin because I have got to get a new job and everyone does drug test now. Does this show up and does it make a difference to the employer if I have a perscription for it. I have never had to drug test at any other jobs. Need help. %-)

My friend has hepatits c and he takes vicodine the doctor perscribed but also buys them off the street. He said he has taken up to 20 a day but the average is about 8-10. Will this have adverse effects on his liver. what are the dangers?
