This forum is the place to discuss anticonvulsants, which prevent epileptic seizures. Anticonvulsants include Barbiturates ( Barbexaclone, Metharbital, Methylphenobarbital, Phenobarbital, Primidone), Hydantoins (Ethotoin, Fosphenytoin, Mephenytoin, Phenytoin), Oxazolidinediones (Ethadione, Paramethadione, Trimethadione),Succinimides (Ethosuximide, Mesuximide, Phensuximide), Benzodiazepines (Clobazam, Clonazepam, Clorazepate, Diazepam, Lorazepam, Midazolam, Nitrazepam, Temazepam), Carboxamides (Carbamazepine, Oxcarbazepine, Rufinamide), Fatty acid derivatives (Valpromide, Valnoctamide), Carboxylic acids (Valproic acid (Sodium valproate & Valproate semisodium). My son and keppra

My son is 3 months on and he has been on topmax,phenobarbtal and another one. And because those didn't work he was prescribed Keppra. kepra is making my 9 month old groggy, will he grow out of it after taking it for awhile?

my 9 month old son just started taking kepra and he sleeps all the time now. he has seizures\episodes that doctors have not been able to figure out. he is very active and i hate to see him sleep all the time. is it possible he will grow out of the kepra making him so groggy?

Is it ok to take a prenatal vitamin such as Prima Care One and continue to take a multi-vitamin? Since I started the prenatal I stopped my multi and my back has broken out. I have never had this problem before.

i started having seizures 7 years after having brain surgery. i have beentaking dilantin for about a year now, and ocasionaly in the late afternoom i have had some episodes of being disoriented and very sleepy. could this be from the medication? /
