Corticosteroids are drugs related to cortisol, a hormone produced in the adrenal cortex. Corticosteroids are used primarily as anti-inflammatories but could be also used for treating some malignancies or natural hormone deficiency. Corticosteroid Drugs Include: Betamethasone (Celestone), Budesonide (Entocort EC), Cortisone (Cortone), Dexamethasone (Decadron), Hydrocortisone (Cortef), Prednisolone (Prelone), Prednisone (Deltasone) and Triamcinolone (Kenacort, Kenalog).

I got a cortisone shot in my left ankle on 10/18/2012 for tendonitis

Last night on 10/23 I got a pain on the inside of my ankle and the lower part of the calf of my leg. It won't let up and I'm walking stiff legged. My ankle is still really swollen. I did not see any improvement since the injection. Is this normal or is there something wrong?
