I thought you cannot get pregnant when on mirena coil. I'm having cramping in the left side

had mirina coil in since September 2016 and now having spotting after nothing at all but the thing is I'm having cramping in left side of the  stomach and doctors think I'm pregnant as im having other simtums what do I do ? didnt think u could get pregnant on the coil :/
