epigastric pain

spitting up blood

I got extremely nauseous and went to the bathroom and was spitting up blood. I have no sinus problems right now. I'm not a smoker. I don't have a cold. Nothing out of the ordinary other than me throwing up blood. I can still taste the blood in my mouth. What could this possibly be?
