Difference between dominant and autosomal recessive cerebellar ataxia?

I saw on the UK support group for cerebellar ataxia that there are many different forms of the condition, all of which are a bit confusing to me. Can anyone here explain the difference between the dominant type and the recessive type of cerebellar ataxia? I thank you in advance for any responses.
