swelling with cervical sstenosis

I have been diagnosed with cervical stenosis, as well as lumbar stenosis. I sometimes have swelling above my clavicle on the right side, it eventually goes away but often my neck feels stiff on that side when swelling occurs could this be due to the cervical stenosis?
