My cilt is very itchy, I had intercourse, but it was protected

I use Monistat 1 because I think that I have yeast infection, it is burning and itching

I used the Monostat 1 today because I think I have a yeast infection but the pill is coming out more dissolved and into my underwear and it is burning and itching terribly and more than ever before, does that mean it's working, is it supposed to do that? How long will it burn like this?
